The Pharmies is Pharmacycle’s annual awards program to celebrate the people and organisations helping lead blister pack recycling across Australia. From pharmacies and councils, this is our chance to highlight the important work happening in communities every day.
The Pharmies recognises real-world impact. Whether it’s driving up collection numbers, engaging the public, or leading local sustainability efforts, the awards celebrate the actions that move the program forward.
This year’s awards include ten categories that reflect the many ways our partners contribute to the Pharmacycle mission.
Community Champion of the Year Award
For efforts that raise awareness and encourage the public to get involved in blister pack recycling.
Strategic Partner of the Year
Recognises the partner who has most significantly helped advance Pharmacycle’s national impact.
Outstanding Pharmacy of the Year Award
Celebrates a pharmacy that stands out in performance, advocacy, and community engagement.
Local Government Partner of the Year Award
Honours a council showing leadership in local recycling and education efforts.
Healthcare Facility of the Year Award
For a healthcare site making strong progress through Pharmacycle integration.
Sustainability Supplier of the Year
Recognises a supplier who actively supports and strengthens the program.
Top Collector Award
Awarded to the site with the highest total blister pack collections over the year.
Enduring Partnership Award
Celebrates a long-standing partner who has shown consistent commitment over time.
Rising Star Award
For a new drop-off site (active less than a year), making an early and impressive impact.
People’s Choice Award
Public nomination category for a pharmacy, council, or healthcare site making a meaningful difference.
Finalists will be announced in the lead-up to the main event. Winners will be revealed on Tuesday, August 27, on Pharmacycle’s social media channels.
